Lockdown: Bengal government will bear the entire cost of migrant workers coming by train: Mamta Banerjee

State Bureau, Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the state government will bear the entire expenses of the migrant laborers coming to Bengal by train from other states. The Chief Minister tweeted on Saturday and said, "I salute the spirit of the migrant laborers who have been facing difficult conditions." I am happy to announce this decision to bear the full expenses of the migrant workers reaching West Bengal by special trains from other states.

At the same time, about this, State Chief Secretary Rajiv Sinha has sent a letter to Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav, in which he has written that the West Bengal government will bear the entire expenses of migrant laborers coming from other states to West Bengal.

The lockdown implemented for the prevention of pandemic Kovid-19 has stalled work in most companies. In such a situation a situation of crisis has arisen in front of migrant laborers. After which a large number of expatriates are returning to their home state. Workers' specials are being operated by the Railways to release the migrants to their home state.

On the other hand, the West Bengal government has announced financial assistance for the people of Bengal killed in a road accident in Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh. In this regard, a tweet has been tweeted by the State Home Department. Financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh each will be provided to the families of the deceased workers by the Bengal government. Four Bengal workers are also said to have died.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP general secretary and state BJP central in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya have expressed condolences for this accident. Mamta tweeted, 'It is very sad to hear about the painful road accident in Auraiya. My condolences to the families of migrant siblings who have lost their lives. may his soul rest in peace. I wish the injured well soon. '
