Djokovic Paris, AFP. Tennis giants Serbia's Novak Djokovic is confident that he will hold the record for the first time in the world rankings for the most weeks, winning the most Grand Slam titles before finishing his career.

The Serbia tennis player has won 17 Grand Slam titles. He is three steps ahead of first-placed Roger Federer (20) and two steps ahead of Rafael Nadal (19). Djokovic won his eighth title of the Australian Open before the 2020 season was called off due to Corona.

Djokovic said that I still have the ability to do a lot in this game. I can win more Grand Slams and break the number one ranking record for most weeks. Certainly both of these are my goals. Djokovic has been at the top ranking for 282 weeks. This record is also named for Federer, who finished in first place for 310 weeks. Veteran Pete Sampras ranked first for 286 weeks.

He said that I do not want to be bound in any time frame. I definitely want to play for a long time. I know that now I will not be able to play much tournament in a year. I will probably play till the age of 40 but for this I have to choose big tournaments and play.

Novak Djokovic is currently 32 years old and is considered one of the finest tennis players in the world. Last year, in 2019, he won the Wimbledon and Australian Open titles, while this year he again won the Australian Open for the second time in a row. He has won the Australian Open 8 times in his career. At the same time, he has won the French Open once, Wimbledon five times, and the US Open three times.
